SmartUp Engineering wins the 5th place in the regional phase of the Italian startup competition "Start Cup Campania 2019"!
The winning project presented by our developer and co-founder Vittorio Trifari, is JPAD (Java Toolchain of Programs for Aircraft Design). JPAD is a software for the preliminary design of conventional and innovative aircraft configurations, including also hybrid-electric propulsion.
New and emerging configurations characterized by greater efficiency and lower environmental impact will be required by the market in the near future. A significant example is the emerging trend of designs involving hybrid-electric propulsion that will feature several flying vehicle types in the years to come. To face these upcoming challenges, JPAD provides in its methods and databases over 15 years of applied reserach experience made by the SmartUp team members at the Industrial Engineering Department of the University of Naples Federico II in collaboration with industries, research centers and University both national and international.

SmartUp Engineering will participate in the PNI (Premio Nazionale Innovazione), final phase of the Italian startup competition planned for the 28th and 29th of November 2019 in the city of Catania.
